Ford’s new Door Edge Protector is the first active system to prevent costly dents and scratches and provide a buffer to protect neighbouring vehicles.
Door Edge Protector, which debuts in January 2012 on the Ford Focus, activates as the door is opened. A concealed protective flap slips into position when the door opens, providing a buffer that prevents damage to paint and body work.
Ford research shows 72 per cent of car-owning families across France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK have experienced dents or scratches to their car doors.
McLaren Automotive today confirms that its Asia Pacific network will be managed from a wholly-owned McLaren subsidiary, McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd, based in Singapore. At a press conference today in Singapore, Ron Dennis, Executive Chairman, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Group, announced plans for the subsidiary and confirmed future expansion into the region. McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd will be responsible for all of McLaren Automotive’s regional operations throughout its Asia Pacific network. This includes importation, distribution, logistics, sales, marketing, technical support and financial services for McLaren’s range of high-performance sports cars. The first three directors of McLaren Automotive Asia Pte Ltd are Ron Dennis, Peter Lim, and Greg Levine.
